Financial Planner

This person will work as part of a team whose goal is to provide our clients with financial planning and investment solutions based on their individual needs.  Some travel is required.

Minimum requirements include an advanced degree, 5 years of business experience and 2 years financial planning experience. Candidates having experience working with entrepreneurs approaching a major liquidity event is a plus. Small business consulting experience and knowledge of tech and/or government contracting community a plus.


A CPA, CFP® or PFS is preferred. Candidates will be required to obtain Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses. Attorneys and CPAs are encouraged to apply.

Financial Planning Associate

Growing personal financial planning firm in Northern Virginia is seeking an analyst to prepare written financial plans and other financial documents. No selling necessary. Work with experienced financial planners in a collegial atmosphere to write financial plans, construct financial spreadsheets, and prepare client tax returns. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree, a working knowledge of Word, Lotus and/or Excel, and a familiarity with the financial planning process.

Knowledge of financial planning software and experience with personal tax preparation a plus. CFP and other designations also a plus.

Administrative Assistant

This person will provide support to several financial planners by completing operational and administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, providing data for financial plans, compiling investment management paperwork, setting up new accounts, and interacting with clients. Provides receptionist support by screening and routing mail and telephone calls; gathering data and providing information when appropriate. Facilitates the planner's work by establishing, organizing and maintaining files of correspondence, records and related materials. Contributes to the efficiency of the operation performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements include a strong work ethic, very detail-oriented, willing to take initiative. Excellent computer skills and knowledge, especially Excel. Works independently with management. Has access to information of a confidential nature. Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Meeting preparation and follow up on action items.  Must be able to prioritize and handle a heavy workload. Insurance experience is not required, however, related financial services experience, or banking experience would be helpful.
